Discipline Overview: Integrated Strategy and Promotions
The strategy team works collaboratively with other teams in the agency, often developing client social media strategies and leading strategic plans that meet client objectives. This team is responsible for staying up to date on the latest news and updates in the social space, keeping an ear to the ground on social changes and how these may impact our clients.
The Social Media Strategist would assist in the development of social media strategies and recommendations across our clients. This role would be responsible for analyzing existing client efforts, researching competitive and industry data, providing support for ongoing client recommendations and overall strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate researching new trends weekly
Responsible for compiling competitive and industry data for monthly and quarterly reports
Assist and/or lead the architecture of strategic plans, including preparation for client collaborative planning sessions
Project manage strategic plans and the key deliverables from other teams
Prepare and manage cross-functional client brainstorming sessions, including the development of prompts and compilation of background research
Work in conjunction with other teams to develop social media programs, larger content series concepts, and ensure that strategies are executed
Conceptualize ideas, compile recommendations that align with clients’ overall goals, and effectively present concept
Research and prepare strategy notes and briefings for clients on new technologies, trends, or opportunities
Collaborate and problem solve to ensure client goals and objectives are met
Foster and maintain partner relationships with outside agencies and vendors
Assist in strategic thinking and ideation for business development proposals
Required Experience and Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in social media marketing, with previous experience with social media planning and implementation, metrics and analysis, and/or community management
Ability to understand the digital impact of social media marketing for clients
Excellent research and project management skills
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Ability to present to clients and represent thinking internally and externally
Strength in creating compelling, client-facing strategies in PowerPoint
Naturally curious, with a love of problem solving
Strong team player, with a love of collaboration
Nice to have: Experience working with a hybrid team and/or hybrid office model
